Backstory: Talisman is an ace flier, born and raised in the country of Emareia, on the far east of Equestria. Long before The Equestrian War erupted, he and his good friend Shamrock were a part of their country's defense force during a major conflict. Despite several sacrifices, they became renowned for their unyielding teamwork and helped Emareia in becoming victorious. Hearing that Equestria was under the griffin invasion, Talisman and Shamrock received a permission from Emareia's top brass to lend a helping hoof and together, as the "Garuda" team, they take flight once again, ready to aid the ponies in their darkest hour.

Both stallions appear during the final days of the Battle for Stalliongrad and help save the Eastern Sector from being bombed. Talisman often takes the role of a bystander during conversations, as he is quite reserved and doesn't speak much. He usually lets Shamrock do most of the explanation. Talisman's exceptional agility allows him to dodge majority of enemies' attack with ease and strike back with great force.
